Arnd Bätzner provides government advisory on the alignment of multi-modal transit systems with the built environment and strategic land use planning. Focus areas include physical and data integration of autonomous and demand-responsive transport with high-capacity modes, designs of passenger intermodal facilities and bus electrification strategies. His global work for public and privately held customers covers the mobility value chain from business plan development to human-centred, holistic urban design policies.

With over 25 years of experience from management and board roles in rail, civil aviation and shared mobility, Arnd is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of St.Gallen’s Institute for Systemic Management and Public Governance, focusing on urban elevated connectors such as networked skybridges and cable cars, functioning as walkability enhancers. Arnd chairs the Austrian Federal Ministry of Climate Protection and Transport's strategic advisory board. Further roles include UITP's combined mobility committee and former chairmanship of its trolleybus committee.
