Peter Lord Hendy of Richmond Hill CBE

Peter, Lord Hendy of Richmond Hill, CBE, is Minister of State for Rail in the Department for Transport. He was formally the Chair of Network Rail from 2015, and of the London Legacy Development Corporation (the Mayoral Development Corporation for the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park) from 2017.

Prior to that he was Commissioner of Transport for London for nearly 10 years, including being responsible for transport for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012. He was made a Life Peer in 2022, having been knighted in 2013. His entire career has been in transport, having joined London Transport in 1975.
