Michelle POYOUROW

Michelle Poyourow manages public transport network plans and facilitates public engagement in public transport planning. She leads the work of Jarrett Walker and Associates in Europe and the UK. Her spans bus network design; rail and bus integration; public transport operations and scheduling; flexible and rural bus services; integrated land use and public transport policy; public transport cartography; and the design of complete streets for public transport and cycling.

Michelle has led many successful public consultation processes, and facilitated collaboration among roadway, public transport, land use, and development authorities. Most recently she has managed the complete restructuring of bus networks for Cork, Galway and Waterford, Ireland, and written a guide to land use planning for successful bus services. She is currently advising Transport for Wales on how to measure and communicate the benefits of network changes. Michelle is based in Portugal.
