"Ir May Tso is a seasoned railway professional with over 20 years of experience on asset management, software governance, ticketing strategy and smart mobility. She was the project lead to replace conventional single journey magnetic tickets with smart cards for Hong Kong. She was pioneer to introduce account-based QR ticketing in MTR and successfully transformed the High Speed Rail payment system into through-ticketing with mainland with good business case. Her work on the evolving Ridership Prediction in collaboration with a local university earned her prestigious recognitions, including “Award of the Year in Hong Kong ICT Award 2024” and represented MTR to compete in Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Award in Brunei in 2024. She also represented Hong Kong to take part in Digital China Summit in Fuzhou in 2025 and Barcelona (Mobile World Congress 2025). She takes pride in her acute vision in Smart Mobility and successful industrialization of academia inventions."
