María Eugenia Rivas is a Knowledge Senior Specialist in the Transport Division of the IDB, where she coordinates the applied research agenda in the transport sector. With a solid track record in policy design, research, regulation, and project management, her work focuses on promoting sustainable, inclusive, and resilient transport systems. She has been an e-mobility advisor at the United Nations and a consultant for the IDB in the knowledge team of the Infrastructure and Energy Sector. Previously, she worked in consultancy services, advising public and private stakeholders on transport socioeconomic evaluation, planning, and regulation. María Eugenia is an economist from ORT University (Uruguay) and holds a master's degree in Transport Economics from the University of Leeds (United Kingdom).
