The Municipal Secretary of Transportation, Maína Celidonio, is a specialist in urban mobility and holds a PhD in Economics from PUC-Rio, where she also earned her undergraduate degree. She completed her Master's in Economics with a focus on Labor Studies and Social Policy.

 

Currently on academic leave from her position as a professor at Insper, she has previously served as Director of Economic Development at the Pereira Passos Institute (IPP), an agency affiliated with the Rio de Janeiro City Government. She has also worked as an Impact Assessment Analyst in the Project Management Office at Itaú Unibanco, and as a Project Coordinator at the Brazilian Center for International Relations.

 

Her doctoral thesis on urban mobility earned her the 2020 CAPES Award in Economics. She currently serves as the Southeast Regional Vice President of the National Forum of Secretaries and Mobility Authorities.
