Javier GOIKOETXEA

After completing my mechanical engineering studies at the Univerisity of Navarre (TECNUN) I joined CAF in 1997. Since then I have always been working for the research and innovation areas of the company, under the technology division. I was involved in many of the main technical developments of CAF, such as the tilting system SIBI, the TCMS COSMOS, the variable gauge bogie BRAVA, the high speed train OARIS, or more recently, ALIVE, CAF solution towards the autonomous mobility. In my role of project manager I also led some relevant national and European funded projects.

This gave me the opportunity to write many articles and scientific papers. Currently I represent CAF at the Steering Committee of ERRAC, I represent CAF at the Programme Board of Europe's Rail and lead the automation activities in the Europe's Rail project R2DATO.
