Diego Monraz Villaseñor is a seasoned Mexican public official who has led Jalisco’s transportation policy for over a decade. He currently serves as the Secretary of Transportation for the State of Jalisco, a role he has held since December 2018 under Governor Enrique Alfaro. He previously held the same position from 2008 to 2010, making him one of the most experienced figures in state-level mobility planning.

 

Monraz holds a degree in Business Administration from ITESO and has completed various postgraduate programs in public administration, mobility, and policy design. Over the years, he has also directed the Urban Electric Train System (SITEUR) and served as General Coordinator of the State’s Urban Mobility Project. His work has focused on modernizing public transport systems, implementing sustainable mobility strategies, and strengthening road safety and gender equity in transit. With over 15 years dedicated to urban mobility, Monraz is recognized for driving structural reforms and infrastructure improvements in Jalisco’s transport sector.
