Claudia Díaz is the Secretary of Mobility for Bogotá, with over 15 years of experience shaping transportation policy and infrastructure across Latin America. She holds a degree in Environmental Engineering and a Master’s in Civil Engineering with a focus on transportation from Universidad de los Andes. Claudia has led transformative initiatives in both public and private sectors, emphasizing sustainable, inclusive, and safe mobility. In Bogotá, she previously served as Advisor to the Mobility Secretariat, Head of the Road Safety Office, and Director of Road Safety, where she spearheaded the implementation of the Vision Zero policy, achieving a four-year decline in traffic fatalities. Internationally, she has consulted for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), advising governments on designing transport systems that prioritize safety and equity. She has also contributed to Colombia’s Low-Carbon Development Strategy through work with USAID and the U.S. Forest Service, aligning transportation policy with broader environmental and climate goals.
