Dr Chia leads the development of condition-monitoring and decision-support systems for asset and operations management in SMRT. He has a background that spans across engineering consultancy and rail maintenance roles in Australia and Singapore. With almost two decades of experience in data technology, his professional interest has expanded into real-time analytics and AI-enabled capabilities, scaling these innovations across multiple train lines in Singapore. Dr Chia holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
