Bernt Reitan Jenssen is Chief Executive Officer of Ruter AS, the public transport authority of Oslo and the Akershus part of Viken, a position he has held since the company’s inception in 2008. Bernt has studied economics at BI Norwegian Business School. Prior to joining Ruter, Bernt was CEO of Nordic postal and logistics group Posten Norge AS. He has previously served as CEO of the logistics companies TNT Norge AS.
Bernt held a seat in the Norwegian government’s Expert Committee on Technology and Future Transport Infrastructure. Recently, he led the national strategy group Transport21, which commended key areas for R&D and advise the government on how to meet the transportation challenges of the future. Previously he has been a member of the governmental Council of Mobility and Technology, led by the Minister of Transport and Communications.
