Language & Interpretation

Most Congress sessions will be held in English.

Simultaneous interpretation will be available in German, French, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese for a large number of sessions. In the programme, the sessions with interpretation are indicated with the following legend:

  • EN: English
  • DE: German
  • FR: French
  • ES:  Spanish
  • CHI: Mandarin Chinese

Headsets are required for these sessions. Please collect a headset at the entrance of the session room and return it after the session.   You will need a headset, even if you are following the session in English. 

Alster Room – AI-Powered Interpretation

Sessions in the Alster room will feature AI-based interpretation powered by Wordly, offering access to more than 60+ languages.  You will be able to read the subtitles of the session in your chosen language.  

Bring some headphones if you wish to listen to the original or translated audio.

The UITP Summit will be held at Hamburg Messe, conveniently located in the city center.

The Opening Ceremony & Welcome Reception on Sunday will take place at CCH – Congress Center Hamburg.

Travel to the UITP Summit

Both Hamburg Messe and the CCH are within walking distance from each other.

The UITP Summit is easily accessible by public transport, so you can reach the UITP Summit quickly and sustainably. Hamburg can be reached easily with direct trains from major German cities, including Berlin, Munich, Cologne and Frankfurt am Main.

Public Transport Pass

Valid from Sunday 15 June to Wednesday 18 June.

Thanks to the support of our Local Hosts, all Summit participants benefit from free access to Hamburg’s public transport network during the event.

Your pass grants unlimited travel on all buses, trains, and ferries within the hvv network, with no registration required and no additional charges.


Visas

If you require a supporting document from UITP to confirm your attendance at the UITP Summit for your visa, you can specify this in the registration form, and provide all the information required.

You must choose an Exchange or Expertise Pass and pay in full, before we can issue the supporting document to you.


List Seller Scams – Warning

As with many large exhibitions and large conferences, fraudulent emails can circulate claiming to have complete lists of participants for the UITP Summit.

UITP does not share or re-sell data to any third parties for such purposes.

Such emails can be very convincing and sometimes can claim to be from UITP.

We encourage you to either block the sender or report the email to your IT service.

As per any suspicious email, do not reply to it or click on any links/attachments.
