Hamburg’s mission is to become a net zero city by 2045. Four main areas of action are taken up towards that mission: Shift to sustainable modes of transport Shift from individual to shared mobility Shift to zero-emission vehicles Shift to digitalization of processes and products All the measures necessary to achieve Hamburg's net-zero goal have in common that they can be implemented more successfully and efficiently through coordinated collaboration. During the UITP Summit, the City of Hamburg presents a selection of measures that significantly advance one or more of the areas of action towards Hamburg becoming a net zero city by 2045 and/or significantly change mobility policy and therefore have potential to shine their light beyond Hamburg. This is why we call them lighthouse projects.
