Hamburg Verkehrsanlagen GmbH (HHVA) is the “partner for safe ways” when it comes to around 124.000 public lighting systems for roads, paths and squares and over 1.760 traffic light systems for intersections and crossings in Hamburg. As a wholly owned subsidiary of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg (FHH), we live up to this claim with our more than 300 employees. As a manufacturer-independent company within the Hamburg metropolitan region, we complete our core business of planning, constructing and operating these facilities by co-designing, developing and implementing various intelligent transport systems projects for the mobility transition and the city's digital mobility strategy.

Product description

With over 100 years of history in the construction and operation of durable lighting, traffic signal, traffic monitoring and telematics systems, we see ourselves as a competent and flexible partner for our customers in implementing their policy goals in fields of transportation and environment. We have our own in-house test laboratory for this purpose: This also allows us to roll out new technologies, for example for bus acceleration, with the help of extensive system compatibility tests and integration tests. To ensure the safe operation of all components and systems, we have our own 24/7 operations control center for fault and damage reports.
