NeMo.bil / FIWARE FOUNDATION EV

  • On-Demand and Shared Mobility
  • Travel planner and mobility platform

NeMo.bil is part of a project funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). Its aim is to develop and prototype an on-demand transport system for both people and goods. The concept introduces two types of automated vehicles: small swarm units that handle short-distance travel and form convoys led by a larger vehicle for longer trips. This innovative setup supports resource-efficient individual public transport (iÖV).

Product description

As part of NeMo.bil, a comprehensive, digital ecosystem is being developed that controls the entire system, provides interfaces to all relevant stakeholders and delivers centralised services for operations. At the same time, two vehicle types are being developed: the NeMo.Pro platoon or provider vehicle, which leads convoys, and a particularly lightweight, energy- and resource-efficient vehicle NeMo.Cab for demand-orientated passenger and freight transport on the first and last mile - convoy-capable and autonomous. In addition, concepts for connecting and introducing the system into existing mobility structures are being developed.
