Janet ANG

Janet Ang is the Chairperson of Singapore's Public Transport Council and the Caring SG Commuters Committee, where she works with industry partners to foster an inclusive public transport system. She chairs several other organisations, including the Singapore Business Federation Foundation, Singapore Polytechnic Board of Governors, and SISTIC.com Pte Ltd. Janet serves as Singapore's Non-Resident Ambassador to the Holy See and was a former Nominated Member of Parliament. With a 37-year career in IT, including leadership roles at IBM in Singapore and Asia-Pacific, Janet brings extensive industry experience. She continues to serve as an independent director for various companies and on boards of charities and government agencies.Janet's contributions have been recognised with awards such as the Public Service Medal and NUS Outstanding Service Award. Her diverse roles in business, social, and public sectors, coupled with her international experience, make her an influential figure in Singapore's business, social and public sectors.
