As the Ministry of Transport of the German state of Baden-Württemberg, our vision is to transform mobility. Baden-Württemberg aims to be completely carbon-neutral by 2040. To achieve this goal, our mobility system needs a profound change. In the Ministry of Transport Baden-Württemberg over 400 people are working on a future mobility that is eco-friendly, connected and safe - in cities and the countryside. Rail and bus transportation are the centerpieces of the transport transition. That’s why Baden-Württemberg is investing in new trains and busses, improved schedules and infrastructure projects. The Ministry of Transport is an advocate of an improved bus, tram and train system. The goal is to double the number of passengers by 2030. Metropolitan and peripheral areas offer huge potential. Additionally, the Ministry of Transport would like to develop local public transport further in order to create a comprehensive and reliable system, especially in rural areas. Visit our stand to learn about transport innovations like the transformation of the Stuttgart rail node, equipping this major railway hub with digital control and safety technology, our new state of the art double-decker trains, high-quality intercity bus services, and “mobility pass” as a tool to finance public transport.
